The first priorities of UW-Platteville’s faculty are teaching and advising. Students benefit from direct contact with faculty; all classes are taught by faculty and academic staff members. The student to instructor ratio is approximately 20 to 1. Approximately 60 percent of UW-Platteville's instructors hold doctorates or terminal degrees. Among full-time faculty, 85 percent have terminal degrees.
