Spanish Major, B.A.

Students who major in Spanish must have a grade point average of no lower than a 2.50 in the Spanish courses they take. The major requires SPANISH 4820, SPANISH 3830, and an additional 20 credits of Spanish courses numbered 3000 or higher.  Eight to nine credits of upper-level Spanish courses must be taken in our Education Abroad program. Similar or comparable cultural experiences could also be accepted. In addition, students must take 9 additional credits of Philosophy or English Literature/Linguistics courses, including 3-6 credits of Philosophy and 3-6 credits of English Literature or English Linguistics. One course in each area (Philosophy or English) must be 2000-level or above.
