The Department of History and Social Sciences includes the ethnic studies, history, international studies, political science, social studies education, sociology, and women’s and gender studies programs. Its mission is to offer students a transformative educational experience that will prepare them for success as liberally educated people who are intellectually mature, ethically responsible, and culturally aware.
