UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County provides a broad-based liberal arts curriculum that typically fulfills the general education requirements of a bachelor’s degree program at UW-Platteville and most four-year colleges. The campus offers a warm and supportive learning environment, along with fine arts and cultural programming, both on campus and in the community.
History
The campus opened in the fall of 1968. It is owned and maintained by Sauk County and the City of Baraboo. In 2018, as part of a statewide restructure of the former two-year campuses of the University of Wisconsin-Colleges, UW-Platteville welcomed the nearby campus, known today as UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County. This campus shares the rich history of common teaching-centered philosophies, hands-on learning opportunities in small class sizes, academic excellence, affordability, and a commitment to giving back to enrich the community.
